Prior to joining BakerAvenue, Tanya was the Director of Wealth Management for Polaris Wealth Advisers. In addition to advising some of the wealthiest clients at the firm, she was responsible for overseeing vision, training, and execution of the wealth management team. Prior to this, Tanya began her career in the financial services industry with UBS where she worked as a Financial Advisor.
Tanya graduated from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, with a B.S. in Economics. She is a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and also an active member of the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco and CFA Society of San Francisco.
Making an Impact
Tanya is a board director of Friends of the Children – SF Bay Area. A nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of generational poverty through professional mentors. Tanya also volunteered at an orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya to discover how the AIDS epidemic had changed Africa and what was being done to make a difference. Tanya currently supports many organizations including the Salvation Army, International Justice Mission, San Francisco SPCA, and Youth Speaks.
A Secret About Tanya
Tanya loves to forage for mushrooms, inspired by a trip to the Mendocino Mushroom Festival. On Tanya’s first trip into the forest, a veteran forager commented on her “special connection” with mushrooms.
