Director of Wealth Solutions, Wealth Advisory Team

Michael is the Director, Wealth Solutions for BakerAvenue and will be working with strategic partners, attorneys, CPAs, executives, and new clients referred to BakerAvenue to make sure we are a fit to work together. He will be working in states West of the Mississippi River to help match BakerAvenue’s capabilities with client needs, to ensure an exceptional experience for everyone working together.

Michael graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Webster University in Irvine, California and then completed an Executive MBA from the University of Colorado in Denver. Michael began his career in the financial services in the early 90’s after serving in the United States Marine Corps. He completed the Morgan Stanley new Financial Advisor training program in 1997 and was recruited to Wells Fargo Advisors in 1999 and spent almost 17 years at the firm with increasing responsibility, leaving in 2015 as a Senior Vice President and Area Sales Manager. Since that time Michael has been a Director at Fidelity Investments, Senior Director of Sales for a technology start-up, a Region Manager for US Bancorp Wealth Management and is now happy to call BakerAvenue his home.

Making an Impact

Michael’s career has had him moving coast to coast across the United States and back. He most recently returned to Southern California in October 2021 and he looks forward to finding local opportunities to serve his community. In the past he has been involved in projects with Habitat for Humanity, home renovation (and disaster cleanup) projects through his church in Florida, assisting with food backs in different states, and coaching and officiating youth sports.

A Secret About Michael

Michael is an adrenaline junkie. His favorite movie from the 90’s is Point Break so much that his oldest son is named Bodee after Patrick Swayze’s character Bodhi in the movie. Michael has been a skateboarder, surfer, motocross racer, snowboarder, has tried skydiving and paragliding, been cliff jumping and done many more exciting things. He continues to have a love of the outdoors but now does more surfing and the occasional triathlon. Michael completed a bucket list goal of completing a full Ironman race (2.4-mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 run for a total of 140.6 miles of fun) at elevation in Boulder Colorado in 2017.
