There are enough financial blogs out there written by enough alpha males who are often a lot smarter & maybe a little prettier than myself so I won’t bore you with another one.

Rather, this blog gives some cheeky insights into markets, media, modern culture, politics & sports (if you understand that a football is kicked not thrown and cricket is not an insect) from the perspective of a Englishman living in NY. An Englishman who pays his bills by managing a hedge fund Great Gable Partners and an investment management firm Baker Ave that I founded 6 years ago. I did this after spending the previous 10 years managing money at some of the biggest firms on Wall street (Credit Suisse, DLJ, Dean Witter, Banc of America). This gives me some insight into the rackets they run & myths they like to perpetuate. I hope you enjoy.
